In a deeply disturbing incident from Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur district, police have arrested a man accused of killing his elderly parents in a brutal act that has shocked the entire region. The accused allegedly assaulted his parents to death, dismembered their bodies using a saw, and later disposed of the remains in a nearby river in an attempt to erase evidence of the crime.
The case came to light after the victims, a couple in their 60s, were reported missing by their daughter when repeated attempts to contact them failed. Concern grew among family members and neighbours as days passed without any sign of the couple, prompting a police search that soon uncovered disturbing clues inside their home.
During the investigation, suspicion fell on the couple’s son, who was living with them at the time of their disappearance. Police detained him for questioning, following which he allegedly confessed to committing the murders after a heated family dispute.
