In a devastating moment for Punjabi music lovers, singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda has passed away at the age of 35 after battling for life following a serious road accident. His sudden death has sent shockwaves through the Punjabi entertainment industry and left thousands of fans heartbroken.
From Accident to Tragedy
On 27 September 2025, Rajvir Jawanda was travelling on his motorcycle towards Shimla when he lost control near Baddi in Himachal Pradesh. The accident caused severe head and spinal injuries, leading to a cardiac arrest on the way to the hospital. He was first taken to a local healthcare facility and later shifted to Fortis Hospital, Mohali, in critical condition.
Despite doctors’ best efforts, Jawanda’s health continued to deteriorate. After 11 days of intensive treatment, he succumbed to multiple organ failure at 10:55 a.m. on 8 October 2025.
The Man Behind the Music
Born in Pona village of Ludhiana district, Rajvir Jawanda emerged as one of the most loved voices of modern Punjabi music. Known for his unique blend of folk and contemporary sounds, he delivered several chart-topping hits, including Kali Jawande Di, Khush Reha Kar, Sardari, Landlord, and Do Ni Sajna.
Apart from music, Jawanda also made his mark in Punjabi cinema, appearing in films like Subedar Joginder Singh (2018), Jind Jaan (2019), and Mindo Taseeldarni (2019). His on-screen charm and grounded personality earned him a loyal following across generations.
He is survived by his wife, young son and daughter, and mother, who are now left to mourn a beloved family member taken too soon.
