Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

New Delhi | October 2025
OnePlus has confirmed that OxygenOS 16 will roll out in India starting October 16. The update brings Android 16 under the hood, along with a host of AI-driven features and design enhancements.
What to Expect in OxygenOS 16
- The new build will include deeper AI integration, such as embedding Gemini into OnePlus’ “Plus Mind” to enable smart, context-aware assistant capabilities.
- Screen-level innovations are anticipated, including lock-screen widgets, refreshed icons, smoother animations, and tweaks to the notification and settings panels.
- Gemini’s integration is designed smartly: it will use content such as screenshots to answer user queries, like planning itineraries or summarizing information.
Devices Likely to Get the Update
OnePlus is planning a phased rollout, beginning with its latest flagship models:
- OnePlus 13, 13R, 13s are expected to be among the first devices to receive the update.
- After the flagships, the update will move to older premium models and then into midrange and Nord-series devices.
- However, devices such as Nord CE 4 and Nord CE 4 Lite (with their limited software support periods) may only receive OxygenOS 16 as their last major update.
The exact timeline per model will differ, so not all supported phones will see the update on day one.
- AI becomes standard, not premium — OnePlus is bringing features once reserved for high-end devices to more users.
- Software commitment test — How well OnePlus supports older and midrange devices will reflect on its brand promise.
User experience lift — With UI refinements and smoother interactions, the upgrade could feel like a fresh new phone for many users.
