The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) India’s most competitive medical entrance exam is under fire again. This time, for a massive paper leak that has shattered dreams, exposed loopholes, and raised deep questions about the very integrity of our education system.
What Happened?
- Reports first emerged in Bihar and Rajasthan of question papers being leaked before the official exam time.
- WhatsApp screenshots of NEET question sets began circulating hours before the exam.
- Multiple coaching institutes and students flagged suspicious accuracy in answer keys.
- Within days, videos of students confessing they paid lakhs for leaked papers started going viral.
NTA in the Eye of the Storm
The National Testing Agency (NTA), responsible for conducting NEET, initially denied any leak.
But pressure from:

…forced them to acknowledge “possible irregularities.”
Even then, NTA’s response “We will re-conduct only for affected centers” has led to nationwide outrage.
