Ex-Blast Accused Gunned Down in Ahilyanagar’s Shrirampur, Police Probe Motive Behind Killing
Shrirampur, Ahilyanagar district In a shocking incident that has raised serious concerns over law and order, Aslam Shabbir Shaikh, popularly known as Bunty Jahangirdar, was shot dead in broad daylight in Shrirampur town. Jahangirdar, who was an accused in the 2012 Pune JM Road serial blast case and was out on bail, was attacked while returning from a funeral.
The incident took place on a busy road when Jahangirdar was travelling on a two-wheeler along with an associate. According to police, two assailants on a motorcycle intercepted them and opened fire at close range. Jahangirdar sustained multiple gunshot wounds and collapsed on the spot. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Following the murder, police launched an intensive manhunt and examined CCTV footage from nearby areas. Within hours, two suspects were detained and later arrested in connection with the killing.
